Esther Sánchez Aliaga is presently working as a consultant neuroradiologist at the VU University Medical Center in Amsterdam. After graduating from Medical School in Zaragoza, Spain, she started her specialisation in Radiology at University Medical Hospital Vall d’Hebron in Barcelona. As part of the Radiology training she spent some time at the Neuroradiology Departments at Stanford Medical Center in California as well as in Klinikum Grosshadern in Munich. She completed a Neuroradiology Fellowship at Sant Pau Hospital in Barcelona and worked as a consultant neuroradiologist at Vall d’Hebron Hospital in Barcelona. In 2005 she moved to Amsterdam and started working at VU Medical Center as consultant Neuroradiologist and ENT radiologist. Since 2009 she is also consultant neuroradiologist at the Stichting Epilepsie Instellingen Nederland (SEIN). She is part of the multidisciplinary Neuro en ENT oncology groups. Her main areas of interests are Advanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging Techniques applied to epilepsy, neuro-oncology and head and neck radiology. In 2012 she obtained the European Neuroradiology Degree.
